BRIEFING:
ETMOS is an RPG about ingenuity, language, and magic where reality splits between two worlds: the Mundane and the Fantastic.
Challenge: Establish a distinct identity for both the ETMOS RPG System and the Brasílis School, creating a deliberately Latin American aesthetic to distance it from European magic school tropes.

METHODOLOGY
& PROCESS
GRID AND PARTICLES
Decagram & Magical Symbolism
In sacred geometry, complex forms like the decagram symbolize the integration of multiple existence planes - here bridging "The Mundane" and "The Fantastic" through ETMOS' magical language.
Logography
A writing system where each symbol represents words, morphemes, or meaning units rather than individual sounds.

MORPHOLOGY & ABSTRACTION
Logograms were developed through the abstraction of forms intrinsically linked to their core conceptual meaning.

Quan - Water

Ig - Fire

Triz - Electric

ETMOS LOGOTYPE DEVELOPMENT
Using the same structural grid, we developed the symbol representing ETMOS' magical language - simultaneously functioning as the game's core logo.
Concept:
Fusion of "Invoke" + "Magic" logograms
Applied Grid:
Implemented in both symbol creation and custom lettering

Ev - Summon

Mag - Magic

BRASÍLIS SCHOOL LOGOTYPE
As ETMOS' canonical magical institution, its identity anchors the entire graphic system. The symbol synthesizes: A distinctly Latin American magical academy, Reverence for ancestral traditions, Contemporary institutional presence.

Ivi - Person

Imu - Thought

Founder Symbol Concept
Derived from "Person" + "Mind" logograms, representing the School's founding group, with a streamlined version for modern institutional use.

EDITORIAL DESIGN SYSTEM
Magic Language Primer Grimoire
The first meta-layer presents Brasílis School's textbook with monochromatic, cohesive aesthetics.
Student Interventions
Contrasting layers feature visual disruptions: collages and annotations from in-world characters (students/teachers).
Grid-Driven Layout
Book structure uses decagram grid segments as foundational layout principles.
Cordel Woodcuts & Latin American Folklore
"Official Brasílis illustrations" as digital collages draw from: Cordel literature woodcut traditions, Creatures/artifacts rooted in Latin American folklore
Easter Eggs & Meta-Language
Embedded throughout: Character commentary inserts, Magical particle systems, Collaged panel illustrations
